College football rivalries have been as old as the game itself, and fans have always found ways to prank the other team in hilarious ways. In 1896, Georgia Tech was traveling to Auburn University by train to play in their football rivalry. The night before Georgia Tech’s arrival, multiple Auburn students used pig grease to slick up the train tracks near Auburn’s football stadium. This caused the train to slide past the football stadium and forced the passengers and football team to walk ten miles back to the stadium. At the end of the game, Auburn ended up crushing their exhausted rivals.
